The Chocolate….??
Okay, I wasn’t going to show you this, but you drove me to it, with the aspersions on my “chocolate blobs”.
AFTER I got tired of making balais de sorcière (witch broomsticks! Clarice guessed it right away, so there, Sébastien), I had lots of bits of homemade candied orange peel and lots of melted chocolate still.
So…I came up with another artistic way to combine them.

Here’s your rorschach. What do you think these are?
I will give you a hint that may help you not necessarily to guess better but to understand better the heart and soul of the owner of La Charlotte de l’Isle, about which I PROMISE I am going to do a post one of these days. Maybe several posts.
Both these and the broomsticks were inspired by La Charlotte de l’Isle, one of my favorite places in Paris, and are take-offs from two of their chocolate creations.
However, in terms of this particular item, I am preening because I think I might actually have gone one step beyond them. Notice I’m not saying in which direction that step beyond might have been taken.

Okay, over to you. Who can guess this one?

I don’t know what those are, but they look totally wonderful. Can I have one? Please? I’d even be willing to drive down there to get it!

It looks like a tasty turtle. 🙂

I will give you a hint: not all of the Charlotte de l’Isle creations are as tasteful as wicked witch broomsticks. Some of them display a certain earthy sense of humor….
CassouletCafe
hmmmm….earthy? sense of humor? caca du chien? 🙂
laura
CassouletCafé you are SMART. You have earned a clue: don’t the orange bits look a bit like…hay…?
Anne Gaelle
is that it? cassoouletcafe’s idea? in that case I think I got the orange color…but I’m a little bit lost…is there a link with halloween or not anymore?;-)
laura
Well, the main link with Halloween is the leftover chocolate and orange bits from the balais de sorcière. 🙂 Also, these are both inspired by my favorite witch house, La Charlotte de l’Isle. It’s not *quite* CassouletCafé’s idea, but it is close! 🙂
Anne-Gaelle
well I had an idea but it was closed to cassouletcafe’s idea something I would have called ‘crottes de chien sur lit de pipi’…tellement poetique, lol!
