Chocolate Thought for the Day
Danish researchers gave 16 participants 100 g of either dark or milk chocolate and 2 hours later offered them pizza. Those who consumed the dark chocolate ate 15% fewer calories than those who had milk chocolate, and they were less interested in fatty, salty, and sugary foods. (quoting from an article by Mara Betsch that a MOST EXCELLENT sibling emailed me)
I know you all know this already–at least you do if you’ve been listening to me–but I’m just trying to help out.
However, I feel we need a control group. Someone who didn’t eat any chocolate at all. Would they be more or less interested in fatty/salty/sugary than the milk chocolate group?
Because, you know, I don’t want to let the milk chocolate lovers out there down. You take some hard knocks these days.

I like milk chocolate & dark, but I seem to gravitate more to the dark. Maybe it’s in my head that it’s more nutritional? Still has the sugar & calories, though!

You know you’ll never convince me chocolate is unhealthy. 🙂 Actually, I have a theory. If everyone ate as much dark chocolate as they wanted (with no guilt!), the rest of their diet would take care of itself. Anyone want to test it out with me? 🙂

Oh, yes. The chocolate diet! Not so sure my stomach would handle it! Good thought, though!
