Philippe and Magalie’s honeymoon?

Chachic sent me a photo from a friend who has taken The Chocolate Kiss to the Maldives, just to make me want to run away and join it. Philippe and Magalie on their honeymoon? 🙂

I hope you are all enjoying TRUST ME, meanwhile!

Wow. 🙂 I think The Chocolate Kiss is still my very favorite of all your books to date, but I’m still a little unsure – exactly how should I be pronouncing “Magalie” in my head?

Thank you, Ms. Florand. I have only a smattering of high school French still lurking in the corners of my brain but can usually make sense of the brief words and phrases which you include. However, names can be difficult to be certain about in any language.

As an example, consider the name Evelyn in English. In North America, it’s usually a female name and its first syllable sounds like ehv, like the first syllable of the word ‘every.’ But in Great Britain, there have been males named Evelyn, such as Evelyn Waugh. The first syllable is pronounced eve, as in the first syllable of the words ‘even’ and ‘evening.’

So, thanks for Magalie’s name pronunciation!

Oh its nice to share. Kayaking in Pinellas County Florida is a great experience for anyone who loves to be out on the water and enjoy nature. With the miles of coastline that stretch around the Pinellas Peninsula, there are an abundance of wonderful places to launch a kayak.
