Yes, I’m still determined on the hiatus, but I just wanted to post a big THANK YOU for all the words of support and encouragement.

Also, I wanted to say a big thanks to reader Barbara!  I would answer your email directly but the email address didn’t come through.  But in case you happen to check the blog, thank you so much for your kind words on Blame It on Paris.

Merci à tout le monde, en fait!  Thank you and enjoy your spring and summer!

It is now that I say in this imitation of the totally ghastly French dubbing of Terminator I once had the misfortune to be forced to watch:  J’y retournerai.  (You’d have to hear the thread-thin whisper voice used for that French Terminator dubbing to appreciate why I’m over hear laughing my head off, really.)

  • Just wanted to say hello from Paris. Having a wonderful time. Weather has been (knock on wood) good. Food has been great. Chocolate has been orga….. let’s keep this PG, shall we. Bread even possibly better than the chocolate. I know, sacrilegious to say that, but we have such lousy bread choices in our small town. Macarons NOT what I expected but addictive all the same. I had tea at Laduree and bought some of their Laduree l’ Melange (or something like that) tea to bring home – possible my favorite tea ever.) We even get mistaken for locals on occasion and asked for directions. CAn’t figure that one out with this great big honkin’ camera around my neck – maybe it’s all the black we’re wearing.

  • Ah yes, internets are indeed addictive creatures.

Enjoy your Hiatus my dear Laura.

  • Hi,
I just found your blog when I googled migraine and chocolate! I’d recently discovered that if I eat dark chocolate when I have a migraine, that it helps to keep it at bay or cures it altogether. I wasn’t sure if this was just a co-incidence or not as I’d heard before that chocolate was supposed to be a migraine trigger. There were loads of references to migraine as a trigger in my google search list and then I found your blog! Amazing!!

It’s interesting that you’re an author as well. I’m intrigued by the book now and will order a copy off Amazon. I’ve just had a book published as well. It’s a children’s book called : ‘Nana (Computer Genius) and the Amazing Roberta.’ It’s self published. It takes a lot of time and effort getting it into the book stores and marketing but really worthwhile and enjoyable. Mine’s on Amazon is a fantastic way of selling.

Anyway thanks for the mention of chocolate as a cure for migraine. it’s great to know it really is a cure!

    All the best,

  • Hi! I’m popping in to say that yesterday was the first day of autumn. Therefore, we can deduce, using this thing called “logic”, that summer must be over. And then we can further deduce, or at least wonder if, a summer hiatus a particular blogger might have been on might be over as well. One could hope. ‘Cuz we miss you here in Bloglandia. Just saying. And checking in on you.

Hello Ms. Florand. I was hoping to ask you a question. I am an aspiring author myself, and had seen your name on the Reece Halsey North Literary Agency, as one of their authors. I was wondering if you could tell me some about them, the agency, as I was thinking of using them to help publish my book. Any help or advice you could give, would be most appreciated. Thank you.
