Friday Book Club: What are you reading?
I had the most wonderful evening with a book club last night! I love hanging out with smart, amazing women. And they brought chocolates (from Miel Bon Bons Fine Chocolate & Artisan Bake Shop ) AND I got to give away my very first set of Chocolate Vice mugs, so all in all…how much better an evening can you get? smile emoticon
What is going on with our Friday Book Club? What are you reading this week? Anything you recommend? Anything you’re looking forward to?
I am editing Célie’s book and working hard on the next two, so this week I haven’t been reading much. I’ll have to figure out what to curl up with this weekend. How about you?

I’m reading “The Word Exchange” by Alena Graedon. It’s an adventure story centered around what we do with words and knowledge in the future. I like it! I’m a nerd, but I don’t follow all of it…what are neologisms, again?

A new word/expression. (Such as “truthiness” that Stephen Colbert coined.) It sounds interesting!

I just finished Attachments by Rainbow Rowell, and I loved it. I am really looking forward to Célie’s book! Loved the preview for it. May I ask about the book club you mentioned? I am local in Durham (I actually work for the Durham County Library, and I am hoping you’ll have a reading this year :). I was part of a fiction book club for a while at North Regional Library but after my son was born I wasn’t able to attend in the mornings. And Miel Bon Bons! You can’t go wrong with that!

I loved Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl but haven’t read Attachments.
The book club I went to is I think private (a group of women who know each other through work), but have you tried the book club Jennifer Lohmann runs at Southwest Library? I think they meet in the evenings, and I know she is really good at book clubs. It’s a romance focused one, though, not general fiction. And Southwest is right by Miel Bon Bons! 🙂
I’m excited about Célie’s book! So I’m really glad you are, too!
